a hot weather playlist 🥵

It’s humid and sweaty. There’s talk of heat domes and heat waves and record-breaking temperatures. Ice melts quickly and my body cools slowly.

AC units drip on sidewalks. I relish moments when a rush of cold air from inside a store hits me as I walk by. My face is shiny, my clothes have sweat marks, and I probably smell. I dream of lake homes, lobster rolls, sweaty spritzes, and swimming pools.

In the words of Santana and Rob Thomas, man, it’s a hot one¹.

This week’s playlist is made for HEAT. The first half is filled with sweaty, hazy tunes and spicy beats, and the second half offers a cool reprieve. Enjoy 🫶
